Easy DIY Install

Swap your old button in minutes

If you can use a screwdriver, you can install this doorbell. It uses the two wires that already power your current doorbell.

Turn off power

Switch off the breaker that feeds your doorbell transformer.

Remove old button

Unscrew your old doorbell and disconnect its two wires.

Connect & mount

Install the chime kit at your chime, attach the two wires to the doorbell, and mount it on the bracket of your choice.

Pair with the app

Turn the power back on, open AI Color Pro and connect to your Wi-Fi.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will this work with my current doorbell chime?

If you have a wired mechanical chime (the kind that makes a physical “ding-dong” with metal bars) running on 16–24 V, yes. The HA-DB-35-MC connects to the same two wires as your old button. It does not work with digital/electronic or plug-in wireless chimes.

My chime hums or buzzes after installing. What do I do?

Install the included mechanical chime kit at your chime. It's designed to get rid of the humming or buzzing some mechanical chimes make when paired with a smart doorbell.

Does it support PoE (Power over Ethernet)?

No. Power over Ethernet (PoE) is not supported on this model. The HA-DB-35-MC is powered by your existing doorbell transformer and connects over Wi-Fi. If you need PoE, the HA-DB-35-WF is the PoE-supported model and includes a wireless chime.

Does it work with 5 GHz Wi-Fi?

Yes. It supports both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. Use whichever band gives the strongest, most stable signal at your front door.

Do I have to pay a monthly subscription?

No. Live view, two-way talk, AI alerts and playback work through the free AI Color Pro app. Recordings save locally to a microSD card (up to 512 GB) or a compatible AIBASE NVR.

How well does it see at night?

Infrared night vision covers up to 3 m (10 ft) in front of the doorbell, and the event-activated nightlight turns on when motion is detected for a clearer view of visitors after dark.

My doorbell is beside the door frame. Can I angle it?

Yes. Three brackets are included: a standard flat mount, a 20° horizontal wedge to turn the camera toward the door, and a 5° vertical wedge to tilt the view. You can use the wedges to get the best view of visitors and the doorstep.

Will it survive an Alberta winter?

It's rated IP65 against rain, snow and dust, has a metal housing, and is rated to operate down to −30°C (−22°F).
